Chicken Satay / Electric Grill

 Chicken Satay kids favorite finger food easy to prepare and marinate with cream and cheese, perfect recipe for cool winter season. Enjoy with Juice or saffron tea
 

Chicken Satay

Ingredients

  1. Boneless chicken (Breast pcs) – ½ kg
  2. Cheese - 1 tbspn
  3. Cream - 1 tspn
  4. Salt - to taste
  5. ginger garlic paste - 1 tspn
  6. olive oil  - 1 tbspn
  7. curd - 1 tspn
  8. oregano, basi, rosemary, thyme - 1 tspn
  9. wooden or bamboo skewers - needed qty
 


 
 

Method

  1. Soak skewers (kabab Sticks) in warm water for 30 minutes.
  2. Wash chicken and cut lengthwise 3 “ sizes , 4 or 5 stripes.
  3. In a bowl add chicken and marinate all above masalas and refrigerate for 3 hours.
  4. Thread the chicken stripes onto the skewers and slit on sides.
  5. Place the chicken satay in a electric BBQ grill brush with olive oil and grill both sides for 6 minutes ,turning occasionally.
Serve with kuboos , mayonnaise and garlic sauce

If u dont have electric grill u can grill in convection microwave also or u can grill in a heavy based tawa...close the lid and fry in low flame

Boneless Chicken Tikka - Step By Step




Ingredients

  1. Boneless Chicken cubes - 200 gram
  2. red chilli pwd - 1/2 tspn
  3. pepper pwd - 1/2 tspn
  4. red food colour - 2 generous pinches
  5. salt  - 1/2 tspn
  6. ginger garlic paste - 3/4 tspn
  7. besan flour - 1 tspn
  8. fennel pwd - 1/4 tspn
  9. curd - 2 tspn
  10. lemon juice - 1 tspn
  11. kasuri methi - 1 tspn
  12. oil for Frying



for garnishing

Carrot
coriander leaves





Method

  1. Wash chicken and drain the water completely.
  2. In a bowl add all the  Ingredients except oil and  marinate for about 10 minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a pan fry all the marinated chicken in 2 , 3 batches or you can grill or Barbecue it.
  4. Drain the oil in an  absorbent paper. 
  5. Arrange the tikka in  Plate and garnish with carrot and coriander ( cilantro)  leaves.

Masala Finger Toast/Bombay Finger Toast





Bombay Finger Toast/Masala Finger Toast

English Breakfast with Indian Flavour


Preparation time : 7 minutes
Cooking Time : 10 minutes
Serves : 3 or 4 Person




Easy to prepare, Often I am preparing variety of toast for our breakfast & Lunch box. It’s My Hubby’s favorite Breakfast. Easy to digest for all age groups.

Ingredients

Bread slices – 12 pcs

Egg – 3nos
Milk – 100 ml

Garlic – 4 pod
Ginger – 1 inch size
Cilantro – ½ bunch (chopped 3tbspn)
Green chilli – 1 no

Black pepper pwd – ½ tspn
Cinnamon pwd – ½ tspn
Sugar – ½ tspn
Pineapple essence – 1 drops

Butter + oil – required qty



Method

Beat the egg and milk until fluffy texture.
Grind  ginger, garlic , green chilli and cilantro coarsely and add it to egg and milk  
Add sugar, egg, pineapple essence, and cinnamon pwd and mix it well.
Cut the bread slices into finger size or desired shape.
Heat the pan, sprinkle butter + oil and dip the bread into egg mixture 
Fry both the sides until golden brown.
Yummy & easy breakfast ready to serve it with mint dip (chutney).
Enjoy!!!!






Mint Dip

Mint – ½ cup
Grated coconut – 2 tbspn
Cilantro –few
Green chilli -1no
Roasted Cumin pwd – ½ tspn
Lemon juice – 1 tbspn
Salt – ¼ tspn (to taste)

Method
Grind altogether until it turns smooth paste and transfer it to a serving bowl.

Crispy Aloo Jeera




Aloo Jeera : Serves : 1
Preparation time – 4 mintues
Cooking time : 8 minutes


Ingredients


Potato - 1 medium (peeled and cut into small cubes)

For tempering

Oil - 1 tspn
Curry leaves - few
Cumin - 1 tspn
Asafetida - pinch

kasmiri red chili powder – ¾  tspn
salt - to taste


 Method

In a wide non stick pan heat oil temper the cumin, curry leaves, asafetida  and add cubed potato
fry the mixture for 2 minutes



Sprinkle chilli powder and salt mix well close the lid and cook for 3 minutes and open the lid roast fry for 3 minutes. 

 Crispy Aloo Jeera Ready to serve with curd rice

Potato fry is my all time favourite, I will prepare it in many ways one of the variety is this crispy Aloo jeera. It is very well goes with plain rice, curd rice, lemon rice, etc…….

Egg Honey Idli




Idli is a very light South Indian breakfast.  
It digests easily and it is a great breakfast for all age groups. 

In this sweet idli recipe,  ghee and honey are added, which have medicinal values to cure stomach ulcers. 
Eggs are a useful source of protein, iodine and essential vitamins and are almost indispensable to the cook.
You can start this idli to your baby from Six month and above.



Egg Honey idli


Ingredients

Egg – 1 
Idli batter – 5 Soup spoonful (for about 5 idlies) 
Ghee – 2 tspn
Honey – 5 tspn

Method
Beat egg with honey  to a fluffy texture.
In the idli plates,   grease  with little   ghee and pour the idli  batter ¾ qty.
On top of  the idli batter,  pour the egg with honey mixture -  equally for 5 idlies.
Close the idli cooker and cook for  7 to 10 minutes.

Super soft sweet idlies are ready. 
Definitely babies and kids will enjoy this Idli.

Egg Pepper Idly

 In this  idli recipe,  adding pepper , which have medicinal values to cure cold ,cough, throat infection to babies.
Eggs are a useful source of protein, iodine and essential vitamins and are almost indispensable to the cook.
You can start this idli to your baby from Eight month and above.





Egg Pepper Idly

Idli batter – 5 soup spoonful  (for about 5 idlies) 
Egg – 1 
Pepper powder – 1 tspn
Salt – ¼ tspn
Ghee – 2 tspn

Method

Add pepper and salt in an egg and beat to a  fluffy texture.
IIn the idli plates, spread little ghee and pour the batter -   ¾ qty.
On top of the  batter,  pour the egg mix,  equally in all idlies. 
 cook for 7 to 10 minutes.

Soft pepper egg  idlies are ready to serve. 
It is a healthy breakfast or a snack for all age groups. 





Definitely babies and kids will enjoy this Idli.

You can start this idli to your baby from Six month and above.
Method - 1
Ingredients

Idli batter – 5 soup Spoon ( about 5 idlies)
Thick jaggery syrup – 5 tspn
Ghee – 2 tspn
Egg – 1 no
Salt – 1 pinch

How to make

Beat egg with Jaggery syrup   to a fluffy texture.
In the idli plates,   grease with little   ghee and pour the idli  batter ¾ qty.
On top of the idli batter, pour the egg with jaggery mixture - equally for 5 idlies.
Close the idli cooker and cook for 7 to 10 minutes.
 Yummy Jaggery idli for babies, kids delight 
For jaggery syrup:
Take 50 gram jaggery adds little water and heat it up, filter the syrup.
we can add grated coconut  and cardamom powder.


Method - 2

Ingredients

Close the idli cooker and cook for 7 to 10 minutes.
 Yummy Jaggery idli for babies, kids delight

Semolina sweet balls






very easy and quick Sweet & quick lunch box also.


Semolina sweet balls

Serves – 4 

Ingredients

Semolina – 100gram
Butter – 40 gram
Sugar – 75 gram 
Ghee – 2 tspn
Roased & coarsely powdered almonds (badam) , cashew nut – 1 tbspn
Raisins – 5 (optional)
Red food coloring – 1 pinch


Method

Melt the butter  and  fry the  semolina over medium heat ,  slightly brown.

Meanwhile in another pan,  bring to boil the water and add red food colouring and pinch of salt.

Reduce the heat and pour the boiling water in to the  roasted semolina and stir continuously  for 5 to 7 min .
 Add the sugar and  stir for 3 minutes. 
 Finally add the badam, cashew powder and raisins.
Transfer it to a serving  plate.





Let it   cool and make it into desired shapes.

Yummy   Semolina Balls are ready to eat.
