King Fish Fry - meen varuval - porissa meen

Simple and easy king fish fry recipe.

Ingredients:

King fish - 4 big slices - cut as steak. 

for marination:

Kashmiri chili powder - 1 tbspn

salt - to taste

tamarind pulp - 3 tbsn

Ginger garlic paste - 1tspn

gram masala powder - 1/4 tspn

 salt - to taste

Oil - for Frying  (coconut oil or any oil)

Method:

1. Clean the fish two or three times and add  white vinegar (or) turmeric powder.

 Soak for 5 minutes and wash again and drain the water.  keep the fish slices,  aside.

2. Mix all  the  masala to a thick paste and and dip both side of fish pieces into the masla paste and marinate for 2 hours.

. 3.  Heat the pan.  Add oil and heat over medium heat.  Fry the fish on  both sides to  golden brown.

Serve it with Plain rice and  dhal or chappathi and kuboos.

Drink one glass daily and you will notice all salt and other accumulated poison coming out of your kidney by urination also you will be able to notice the difference which you never felt before. Parsley is known as best cleaning treatment for kidneys and it is natural!

Nutella Chocolate Mug Cake

Nutella is my son’s favorite .I sometimes send him for lunch box bread with nutella for lunch twice a week I also send him nutella sandwich like, nutella with idli, nutella with chappathi, nutella with idiyappam, nutella with dosa. Etc.. :D :P
Usually I am preparing microwave cake in all flavour.I saw nutella mug cake in  shami delicaicies Nutella Mug cake , I did little bit changes.

Now I tried in microwave nutella mug cake, really I am very happy see this yummy easy cake.

Nutella Chocolate   Mug Cake - Serves: 3

Preparation time: 12 min

Cooking time: 3 min

Ingrdients

Chocolate drink powder – 25 grams

All purpose flour (maida) –   3 tbpsn

Sweetened condensed Milk – 90 grams

Sugar – 2 tbspn

Butter – 2 tbpsn

Nutella – 2 tbpsn

Egg – 1 no (small)

Baking powder – ½ tspn

Pista flakes – 1 tbpsn

Milk – 3 tbpsn

Method

1.       Sieve the flour, baking powder and the chocolate drink powder.

2.       In a bowl, beat sugar and butter to a creamy texture.

3.       Add the egg, flour mix, condensed milk, nutella, milk , one by one and mix gently  without  lumps.

4. Sprinkle pista flakes.

5.  Transfer to a microwave oven safe mug and set 3 minutes to bake the mix.

 6.   Let it cool

Easy and yummy nutella cake is ready to eat.

Curd Humuus - 2 - For Shawarma & Falafel sandwich Spread

Hummus is traditionally found in Middle Eastern cuisine. I often pack it in my son’s lunch  pita bread hamuus spread with homemade Falafel.

                       HUMMUS

INGREDIENTS:

White chickpeas –1/2 cup

Garlic cloves – 3 nos

White sesame seeds – 1 tbspn

White onion  - 1 no

White pepper powder – 1 tbspn

Curd – 1 tbspn

Mayonnaise – 1 tbspn

Lemon juice – 1 tbspn

Olive oil – as per use

Salt to taste


for Garnishing


Paprika powder
Mint leaves

METHOD:

Soak the chickpeas night itself, boil it in the pressure cooker.

Add the roasted sesame seeds, onion,  garlic cloves in the boiled chickpeas, now make it as a smooth paste.Transfer hummus to a bowl

In that paste add lemon juice, pepper powder, curd, mayonnaise, salt, olive oil then mix it well.
Garnish with fresh Mint leaves, paprika powder.

This hammus goes well with kuboos, chapapati,rotti, naan and all grill items.Very good Spread for sandwich, shawarmah, filafil sandwich. You can see my Falafel sandwich  in my Tamil blog .
Instead of white onion you can use normal onion or red onion.

Brown Rice Banana Kuzipaniyaram

Kuzipaniyaram is one of the chettinad Traditional Breakfast, .We make this paniyaramm using special kuzipaniyaram pan If you don't have this paniyaram pan we can make  like appam.

This is one of the variety which i tried, in chettinad sweet and spicy varieties of kuzhipani

yaram.

Ingredients

Brown Rice 100 gram

Maida (all purpose flour) – 100 gram

Jaggery – 150 gram

Chiquita – 1 

Coconut – pieces - 2 tbps

Cardamom – 3

Badam (almond)  flakes – 1 tbpsn

Dry ginger powder – ½ tspn

Salt – 1 pinch

Sodium bicarbonate - 1 pinch

Oil  ghee – as  required

Method

1.  Soak brown rice for  2 hours  and grind well.

2.  Grind the soaked rice.  While grinding, add cardamom, salt, and maida. 

Grind for 3 minutes.

3. Add the banana and grind well.  Remove from the grinder.

4.   Add ½ cup water into jaggery and heat it up.   Filter the syrup. 

5.  In the batter,  add dry ginger powder, jaggery syrup, Sodium bicarbonate (almond) flakes and coconut pieces. Mix well.

6.   Heat the paniyaram pan.  Add  little oil + ghee and  pour the batter.

7.  Cook on low flame, checking regularly both sides, so it does not get burned.

Roasted Gram Banana Delight

                                              ROASTED GRAM BANANA DELIGHT:

Serve: 1 Baby

INGREDIENTS:

Roasted gram – 25 grams

Small banana – 1

Sugar (or) Palm sugar, nattu sarkkarai – 10 grams

METHOD:

Roast the roasted gram slightly then powder them with palm sugar, mix the banana well with the powdered roasted gram and feed to your cute baby. 

Note: After starting this food, your baby will be chubby. If your baby is having cough means you can add little pepper powder to this food and feed them.
