Tomato Carrot Chutney - 405


Tomato Carrot  Chutney
Tomato Chutney is side dish for all South Indian Tiffin. Yummy and Tangy Chutney. 

Ingredients


for tempering

Oil – ½ tspn
Mustard seeds – ½ tspn
Curry leaves - few

For grinding

Ripe Tomato – 3 large
Carrot - 1 no
whole red chilli  - 2 nos
Aachi Red chilli pwd - 1/4 tspn
Garlic -  2 nos
Ginger - 1/4 inch pc
Salt – to taste
jaggery - 1/4 inch pc (optional)

Method 

In a mixie add tomato, carrot, garlic, ginger, red chilli pwd, salt, whole red chilli ,jaggery
(do not add water) ground well.

In a pan, heat the oil temper with mustard seeds  & curry leaves.
Add ground tomato carrot mix and cook for 5 minutes till the water absorb.

Healthy Tomato carrot chutney is ready to serve.

This chutney goes well with any Snack or South Indian Tiffin items
