Hummus is traditionally found in Middle Eastern cuisine. I often pack it in my son’s lunch pita bread hamuus spread with homemade Falafel.
HUMMUS
INGREDIENTS:
White chickpeas –1/2 cup
Garlic cloves – 3 nos
White sesame seeds – 1 tbspn
White onion - 1 no
White pepper powder – 1 tbspn
Curd – 1 tbspn
Mayonnaise – 1 tbspn
Lemon juice – 1 tbspn
Olive oil – as per use
Soak the chickpeas night itself, boil it in the pressure cooker.
Add the roasted sesame seeds, onion, garlic cloves in the boiled chickpeas, now make it as a smooth paste.Transfer hummus to a bowl
In that paste add lemon juice, pepper powder, curd, mayonnaise, salt, olive oil then mix it well.
Garnish with fresh Mint leaves, paprika powder.

This hammus goes well with kuboos, chapapati,rotti, naan and all grill items.Very good Spread for sandwich, shawarmah, filafil sandwich. You can see my Falafel sandwich in my Tamil blog .
Instead of white onion you can use normal onion or red onion.
