Pomegranate juice is Rich in antioxidants, it help prevent cancer & also used in skin care product.

It is a healthy drink all ages and especially for pregnant women and it is a well known excellent treatment for anemic. 
It is remedy for mouth ulcer and stomach ulcer.


Serves : 4
Preparation Time : 15 Minutes


Kesar ,Anar Juice with Roo Afsha

Ingredients

Pomegranate - 4 fruit
water - 200 ml
ice cube 
Striner or muslin cloth
sugar - Needed qty 
salt - 1 pinch
Roo afsha  - 3 soup spoon
Saffron - 1/2 tspn

Method


In a blender (mixie), add pomegranate water,ice cubes and sugar blend well.
Strain the juice in a strainer or muslin cloth.Soak saffron in 1 tbspn hot water.
Mix soaked saffron and roo asfsha into strained pome juice.
Transfer the juice into a chilled serving glass.
Enjoy.

Ingredients

Yellow Pumpkin Pancake with Cinnamon



We can make Pancakes for breakfast or for parties.  Kids love to eat these colorful pancakes like Banana Pancake, egg pancake, pineapple pancake, Tutti fruity pancake, coconut pancake, Onion pancake, carrot pancake, veg pancake.Grape Fruit Pancake,Urad Dal Pancake,Brown Rice Banana Pancake. Pancake is our family favorite Breakfast.
I tried this pumpkin pancake .  It came out very well .

Serves : 3
Preparation Time: 8 Minutes
Cooking Time: 20 Minutes

Ingredients

Whole wheat Flour - 250 gram
Grated pumpkin - 100 gram
Egg – 2 
Cinnamon – ½ tspn
Baking powder – ½ tspn
Salt – ½ tspn
Powdered Sugar – 100 gram
Cardamom pwd – ¼ tspn
Dry ginger pwd – ½ tspn
Method
How to make Pancake?

In a mixie or blender add pumpkin, little water or milk and grind to a  smooth paste.   beat the egg to a fluffy texture and add it to the  pumpkin puree. 


Mix all the dry ingredients together and add egg and pumpkin mix well
Add required amount of water and mix well to a  thick batter.
Make sure that there are no lumps.


Heat a non stick pan.   Pour a small ladle full of batter and spread to have a small thick pancake.
   Cook on low heat.   Add little oil or butter.  



 Carefully, flip or turn over the pancake and cook the other side on low heat to golden brown.  Make sure that it does not get burnt 









Garnish it  with pista flakes
Enjoy.

Falooda - SNC - 12








Flooda is a Rich Dessert. We can Make Varieties of Falooda with different Flavor.It's an all time my family favorite dessert. 









SNC - 12 September - Falooda

Ingredients:


Chilled Milk  - 2 cup
Saffron – ¼ tspn
Warm milk ¼ cup

Chironji/ charoli (optional) (saaraparuppu) – 1 tspn

Fried Cashew nuts – 6
Pista Flakes  - 4 Tspn
Badam – Slices – 8 nos

Rose syrup  (Roo Afsa)– 4 Tbspn
Rose water 2 tbsp




1 handful of whole falooda(sev) noodles
water – 3 Cup

 Tukmaria (basil) seeds (sabja vithai) -1/4 cup

Strawberry ice-cream & Kulfi Ice-Cream



How to Make Falooda at Home:

Method:

Soak the basil seeds in a cup of water, it will take an hour to plump.
Add the rose syrup to the chilled milk and place it in fridge.
In a cup of warm milk,soak the saffron,rose water,cover and keep it in fridge for an hour.
Soak the badam in hot water remove the skin and sliced it keep aside.
Boil the noodles in 3cups water until soft, drain the water.
Now immerse the noodles in saffron soaked milk and place it in fridge until assembling.




How to Assemble Falooda in a Tall Glass:

Step - 1
In  two tall glasses, drop the 3/4 of chilled noodles with quarter cup of saffon milk.
Top it with 2tablespoons of basil seeds.
Pour two scoops of Strawberry & kulfi  ice cream
Pour in the chilled rose milk  into the glass.
Top it again with two scoops of Strawberry & kulfi  ice cream
top it with pista flakes & badam flakes.

Step -2

Now pour in the remaining saffron milk and rest of the noodles.
Top it again with two scoops of Strawberry & kulfi  ice cream.
Garnish it with pista flakes & fried cashew nuts and cooked falooda sev.

If you want more sweet, drizzle a little more rose syrup.

Jeera Cashewnut Rice





Jeera Cashewnut Rice

Ingredients:

India gate Basmathi Rice – 300 grams
Oil + ghee – 40 ml
Chopped onion – 3 tbspn
Ginger garlic paste – 3 tspn
Coriander leaves – few

Bay leaves – 1 
Cinnamon , clove, cardamom –  1 each

Jeera (cumin) – 1 tbspn
Cashew nuts – 75 grams
Salt – to taste

Water – 450 ml

How to make Jeera Rice/zeerakasathaam/

METHOD:

Soak the rice for 20 minutes.

In rice cooker,  add the ghee,  bay leaves, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom,Jeera (cumin), and  cashewnuts.  Fry them well  for couple of minutes.  

Add onion, ginger garlic paste, coriander leaves and sauté well.  Make sure that it does not get brown.
.
Now add the rice and stir slowly.
Add 450 ml water (1: 1 ½ -   rice : water ratio ).  Add salt to taste.  Cook it in the rice cooker till rice is done.

Now ,  aromatic Jeera Cashew Rice is ready.
Serve the rice with Mutton kurma, chicken gravy, fish curry, thick dhal, or prawn gravy.   This rice tastes good with coriander chutney too.
